Easy-to-use, Safe and Designed to Last. The ARE 5 Hotplate Stirrer is the product of choice since 1983 for basic heating and stirring laboratory requirements. A reference for many laboratories around the world ranging from universities and research centers to industrial laboratories. The 135 mm diameter aluminum alloy top plate ensures great temperature homogeneity and optimum heat transfer across the entire surface. Two illuminated indicators always inform the operator when the heating is on. Furthermore, the icon stays on when the temperature of the plate is above 50°C even if the instrument is switched off. The internal electronic parts are protected by the insulating disk, which, together with the robust die-cast aluminum housing, enables the ARE 5 to withstand even the most demanding laboratory environments and applications, such as when working with cold media (below 0°C). In addition, the ARE 5 hotplate stirrer is IP42 certified and it is backed up by a 3-year warranty.

Consistent stirring and heating performance for general lab applications. You can rely on the robust ARE 5 and its powerful brushless motor for everyday laboratory applications stirring volumes up to 15 liters (H2O). By turning the left knob of the ARE 5 it is possible to adjust the temperature up to 310 °C, whilst the right one allows setting the stirring speed from 100 up to 1500 rpm. The ARE 5 is equipped with VELP-engineered SpeedServo™ torque compensation technology that ensures constant speed even when the viscosity of the medium changes. Note: Hot plates have been designed and manufactured in compliance with the following standards CE, CSA and UL.
