Safe and easy to operate, these cordless lamps automatically turn off when inverted to protect the user from harmful UV radiation exposure. Models are available in wavelengths of 254nm, 365nm and a combo unit featuring both wavelengths.

UV transilluminator / UV lamps can be used for observing and imaging of DNA and RNA gels. They are essential devices for medical hygiene, bio-engineering, molecular biology, genetic studies and biological production, anti-counterfeit inspection, pharmaceutical production, criminal and forensic examination and verification. UV lamps can also be used to examine plates for thin layer chromatography.

When fully charged, the battery can sustain three hours of continuous use or approximately 500 intermittent uses. Charger (100~240VAC, 50/60Hz) and 12V rechargeable, lithium batteries included. The lamp wattage is 6 watts.
