Steam sterilization is convenient and affordable with the new BioClave™ digital research autoclaves. With a width of less than 18 inches, less than 14” for the BioClave™ Mini, both models will fit comfortably on even the most crowded bench tops.
Despite the space-saving exterior dimensions, the sterilization chambers are surprisingly large, accommodating a variety of liquids, media, instruments, glassware, plastic ware and other common laboratory items. Both models include a mechanical and electrical safety interlock that prevents the door from being opened until the pressure has reached zero PSI. Three trays are supplied with each unit, 2 with each Benchmark BioClave™ Mini, along with a convenient tray removal tool.
With large digital displays and fully automatic operation, all segments of the sterilization cycle (fill, sterilize, exhaust and dry) commence and run to completion by simply pressing the start button.
The 18 liter BioClave™ offers three cycle options (standard programs), which are preset for the sterilization of liquids, wrapped instruments or unwrapped instruments/plastic ware. A fourth option, “Dry Only”, is also available for additional drying time to be added to the end of a cycle. For special applications requiring variations in cycle parameters, all settings on the 18 liter BioClave™ are fully adjustable.
The 8 liter BioClave™ Mini is preprogrammed to meet basic sterilization needs. Although the temperature can be set at either 121°C or 134°C, the sterilization time is fixed. The economical BioClave™ Mini is the ideal choice wherever bench top sterilization is required and space is limited.
Benchtop Autoclaves are CE approved.
